Pepsi RedesignPosted on 2008-10-28

I struggle to understand why Pepsi would be doing this to their brand. The chronic advertising of Pepsi Max has almost managed to taint the only drinkable offering in their UK line-up... and I say that as someone who hasn't been put off Diet Coke despite the admen telling me that I only want to drink it so I can think about toned male chests. So Pepsi are really going some to have clouded my judgment.
The new branding is unlikely to help. I'm going with
Dieline's suggestion that the designer's brief something nice and short, like "think Pepsi knock-off cola, priced 12p in a dubious corner shop"
The only good part of this rebrand is the rumour that Mountain Dew (sorry, now Mtn Dew) will finally be getting a full UK launch.

Changing the logo into some crud representing the Pepsi "smile" is exactly the kind of rubbish you expect from a company that refuses to sell its best products in its core markets. Why do we have to go to Japan is we want Yogurt flavoured Pepsi? Its ridiculous.
