Coke Charm Offensive

The eggheads over at Coke have apparently decided to go on a charm offensive. Which I find offensive. The following advert has been running in Canada, informing anyone with only half a functioning brain that Coke has never targeted children with its adverts.

Ok. Anything you say Mr Adman. All those sponsorship deals with lip-syncing pop sensations and the whole polar bear thing... that was to bring in the geriatric shoppers was it? It all makes sense now. Mia is so advanced, who'd have thought that a three year old would think a big cuddly bear was aimed at kids?

In related news - Coke have decided to copy McDonalds and launch a rumour debunking site. The only problem is that the McDonalds site is comedy gold and the Coke one is utterly devoid of scandal. I've sent them a question about rat widdle because thats a topic I've been losing sleep to recently. But the McDonalds one... come on, its awesome.

Is it true that at one of your branches in Devon, uk - a customer got herpes on his mouth. When the source was traced, inspectors found 8 semen samples in the mayonnaise of the local Mcdonald's...?
This is a myth and is not true.

Why is Ronald not married? Is he not interested in marriage? Has he just not had luck finding the right woman? Is he interested in women at all?
Ronald is far to busy for a relationship at the moment. If he is not out and about across the country promoting exciting new activities and having fun, Ronald is in the restaurants greeting people and making sure that everybody is having a great time.

No, this is another myth. The gherkins are there as a signature to McDonald's burgers. Gherkins have been part of the sandwich for decades and are there for no other reason than taste

And finally... Coke have started shipping their Christmas packaging. No sign of it in my local shops yet but I have spies everywhere and recieved this tip off from the shop floor:
