GMail only keeps mail in the spam folder for 30 days, so to find over 100,000 of the blighters in there is some testament to the dedication of these scammers. I was averaging around 3000 a day for a while, but lately this has escalated to well over 4000 a day. One every 20 seconds or so. And they're seriously repetitive, the vast majority are appallingly unconvincing attempts to con me into revealing my banking credentials. Google is remarkably good at catching them, only about 1% slip through... which is far better than my own installation of Spam Assassin used to manage.
