Long time, no update. (with Lego)

My posts here seem to have dried up. This is not a deliberate orphaning of the site, just an ignoring of the tasks in hand. But while we await something more meaningful we can reflect upon Mia's glorious transition from Duplo to Lego proper. The official model you build from the Lego City police-station set is a staggeringly complete rendering of the authoritarian state, presumably inspired by Guantanamo in parts.
Mia loves it, and we've now left the authorised plans behind and headed into more free-form (and less structurally sound) realms. Pictured below is the latest joint-effort (and I say "joint" loosely, Mia is a bossy project manager at times and vetos most of my ambitious schemes). As you have no doubt noticed - it incorporates a nut storage facility. Apparently Lego City employs crime-fighting squirrels, which can fly. And they ride on top of the police cars, which can then also fly. Excellent stuff.
